01Who We Are

Digitrack Studios is a Dolby Atmos post-production and content facility located at 95 Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

02Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

• Contact and booking details — name, job title, company or production name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and the nature of your enquiry, submitted through our website forms, by email, or by phone.
• Project information — details about your production, including its title, delivery format, schedule and technical requirements, so we can prepare an accurate quotation and run the session.
• Billing information — invoicing name, billing address and payment references. We do not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed through our bank or a third-party processor.
• Travel and hospitality details — travel dates, flight details and accommodation preferences needed to arrange requested transfers, hotel bookings and visa invitation letters.
• Content and marketing consent — name, likeness, voice, photographs, video and quotes, collected only with the specific consent of the featured person for studio content such as room tours, interviews, talent walk-ins and case studies.
• Correspondence — anything you include when you email, message or otherwise write to us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website and general usage data using cookies and similar technologies. See Section 06.

Information from third parties

We may receive your information from a production company, agent, distributor or colleague who books or enquires on your behalf, or from a partner in connection with a joint project.

03How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

• respond to enquiries and prepare quotations;
• schedule, run and deliver booked recording, mixing, mastering, ADR, and stage or studio hire sessions;
• issue invoices, process payments and maintain accounting records;
• arrange requested travel and hospitality logistics;
• communicate with you about your booking, project or account;
• with your consent, feature you, your project or your visit in marketing and social media content;
• send updates where you have opted in, with the option to opt out at any time;
• maintain the security of our premises and systems;
• comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations; and
• improve our website and services.

04Legal Basis for Processing

Under the NDPA, we rely on one or more of the following grounds to process personal data:

• Consent — for marketing content that identifies you and for optional communications;
• Performance of a contract — to quote, book and deliver the studio services you request;
• Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business, secure our premises and communicate with clients, balanced against your rights and interests; and
• Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

05Photography, Video and Marketing Content

Digitrack Studios features clients, talent, crew and visitors in social and marketing content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and our website. We only publish content that identifies a person — video, photographs, names, quotes or session footage — after obtaining that person’s specific consent, typically confirmed on the day of filming.

You may withdraw consent for future use at any time by contacting us. This will not affect content already published where withdrawal is not reasonably practicable, but we will remove it on request wherever we can.

06Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and comparable technologies to operate correctly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the site, including through analytics tools. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how parts of our website function.

07How We Share Your Information

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• service providers supporting our operations under confidentiality and data-processing terms, including website, database, booking, transactional email and hosting providers;
• payment and accounting providers, to process payments and maintain financial records;
• production, distribution or technology partners, only where you have asked us to coordinate with them or consented to the connection; and
• authorities and regulators where required by law, to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect any person’s safety.

08International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers — including our website, database and email infrastructure — may store or process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient offers an adequate level of protection consistent with the NDPA, such as standard contractual or equivalent safeguards.

09Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to deliver a booked project, maintain accounting and tax records for the period required by Nigerian law, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Marketing content published with consent is retained until you ask us to remove it, subject to Section 05. When personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

10Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encrypted storage where available through our service providers, and restricted access to booking and billing records — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the NDPA, you have the right to:

• be informed about how we process your personal data;
• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
• restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
• request a copy of your data in a portable format, where applicable;
• withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
• lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by the NDPA.

12Marketing Communications

Where you have opted in to receive updates from Digitrack Studios, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send or by contacting us directly. We will not use your details for marketing you have not agreed to receive.

13Children’s Privacy

Our services are directed at businesses, productions and adult individuals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

14Third-Party Links

Our website and social media pages may link to third-party sites and platforms we do not control. This policy does not cover those third parties; please review their own privacy policies.

15Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on our website; please check back periodically.
